Community Involvement:

Dean Burnetti Law is committed to sponsoring Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital’s Bereavement and Ancillary Funds.

It’s not uncommon for people to want to give to assist surgically needy or terminally ill children,  However, too often, when the unthinkable happens and a child passes, the community’s focus turns to the next sick child and forgets the family of the child that died.  Not only are such families left with an immense hole in their hearts and a void in their lives, but their bank accounts are often drained, and they have nothing left with which to give their child a decent burial.  Consequently, the hospital’s Bereavement Fund comes into play.

The hospital’s Ancillary Fund assists families of sick children with living expenses incurred while their child is hospitalized or undergoing long term treatment.  Because of these parents’ dedication to their child’s medical care, they often have to miss work.  The Ancillary Fund assists these families with various expenses such as rent or mortgage, utilities, car payments or gas, food, and other such living expenses.
